At Domino’s, we believe every team member has unique superpowers that play a role in developing brand culture and success. On May 8, Domino’s business resource group, WiSDOM, hosted a Superwomen of Domino’s event at the brand’s World Resource Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan – bringing together powerhouses across the brand to inspire team members to harness their strengths and unlock their full potential.

The event kicked off with Aileen Wang, CEO of DPC Dash – Domino’s master franchise group in China. In 2024, she made history as the first woman inducted into Domino’s Chairman’s Circle. In her keynote speech, Aileen credited her two superpowers – continuous learning and a strong sense of achievement as key factors in her success.

Aileen went on to highlight her incredible team and the lessons she has learned throughout her journey as a CEO. Her first lesson? Slow is the new fast – she emphasized the importance of taking the time to understand the nuances of leadership and the patience required to succeed. She then shared insights into her approach to driving results, focusing on the powerful collaboration between strategy, people and execution.

“People feel empowered when opportunities are delegated to them,” said Aileen. “Team members improve their capabilities when given the chance to work on something bigger than what they think they can do.”

Next up was Joana Mendes, a Domino’s assistant manager in Ipswich, England, and the first woman to win Domino’s World’s Fastest Pizza Maker competition. In 2015, she joined Domino’s Pizza Group (DPG) – Domino’s master franchise in the United Kingdom – and showed strong pizza making skills from the start. During the event, Joana shared her story of relentless training for the 2024 competition and credited her team for supporting her through moments of self-doubt.

“At the end of the day, success isn’t a solo sport,” she said. “You depend on your team to push you forward and make your stronger. It’s important to let others celebrate you and to do the same for others in return.”

As the first woman to win the esteemed competition, Joana explained that she is proud of the title, but even more proud of what it represents for women. The title proves that if you believe, you can. Her story showcases what it looks like to break barriers and achieve the things you set your mind to when you hold onto your passion and determination.

Cindy Headen, Domino’s executive vice president – chief supply chain officer, concluded the event with an insightful keynote, “Cindy’s Rules of the Road” – a set of principles that guide her approach to building both her personal and professional life. She offered advice on career success while emphasizing that achieving personal goals is just as important as professional ones. Cindy captivated the room as she shared her key lessons, highlighting the importance of setting the bar high, staying curious and paying it forward.

“Know what you want, know who you are, and every day you ought to be able to look in the mirror and like who is looking back at you,” Cindy said. “Remain curious and seek out new and differentiating opportunities while helping others grow along the way.”

The Superwomen of Domino’s event served as a powerful reminder that success is built on empowerment, perseverance and collaboration. WiSDOM, along with Domino’s as a whole, is proud to champion the superpowers of team members across the company, knowing that the knowledge and advice that was shared will empower future leaders long into the future.
