Domino’s Team Members Unite for the Annual St. Jude Walk/Run

Domino’s team members participated in St. Jude’s Walk/Run in Tampa, Florida, on Sept. 21, 2024. Together, the 49 Domino’s team members raised more than $27,000.

A common trait amongst Dominoids is their love for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s lifesaving mission – finding cures and saving children. Each September, in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Domino’s franchise and corporate team members across the country unite to participate in the annual St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer.

Casey Barile, director of marketing and captain of Domino’s local Walk/Run team, Team Tampa, has supported St. Jude since she was in college. When she began her career at Domino’s, Casey got the opportunity to tour St. Jude’s campus, deepening her devotion to their mission.

“When I first started at Domino’s, a mentor told me, ‘Domino’s provides us the platform to live out our passions,’” said Casey. “I feel so much joy coming to work every day knowing that I work for a brand that cares for the communities they serve.”

Casey’s leadership and passion for St. Jude has led to Team Tampa consistently placing in the top five Walk/Run teams when it comes to fundraising and number of team members.

Many Dominoids appreciate the opportunity to leave a positive impact on St. Jude from their hometowns through the Walk/Run. Casey’s work with local franchisees made her realize that team members enjoy coming together outside of working at the restaurant, especially when it’s for a good cause.

“The fact that we have the ability to support St. Jude in our local communities across the country, and the feeling of being a part of a great cause through the Walk/Run is a really cool experience,” said Casey.

When asked about her favorite part of the Walk/Run, Casey noted the inclusive aspect of the event.

“It’s a great opportunity for people of all ages to come together and bring awareness to the cause,”
she said. “It’s about celebration of community and St. Jude’s lifesaving mission.”

This year, team Domino’s consisted of over 900 team members from across the U.S., who raised more than $330,000. All funds raised from the Walk/Run goes toward Domino’s recent commitment to St. Jude – to have raised $300 million by 2034, in celebration of 30 years of partnership.

“When I think about what this level of commitment is going to provide to St. Jude, what it’s going to mean for the families and what we already did with The Domino’s Village, I can only imagine what $300 million will accomplish,” said Casey. “It’s going to be amazing to see it all come together and the work so many team members put in to make this happen.”

We’re so proud of the amazing Dominoids across the nation who participated in the Walk/Run and championed for St. Jude!
