Expanded Commitment - Round Up

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital founder Danny Thomas famously said, “I’d rather receive $1 from a million people, than $1 million from one person. That way you’ve got a million people involved.” Domino’s, which has been fundraising at its U.S. stores for St. Jude since 2004, embraces this concept every day. Domino’s supports St. Jude by participating in the annual Thanks and Giving campaign, during which customers can add a donation to their order, and year-round Domino’s provides the ability for customers to round up their change to support St. Jude's mission of accelerating research and treatment of childhood cancer.

Thanks to many generous customers, Domino’s has been able to raise more than $126 million for St. Jude in the 20 years of its relationship with the children’s hospital. And Domino’s is ready to do more.

Every other year, Domino’s U.S. and international franchise owners and their team members gather for education and celebration at Domino’s Worldwide Rally in Las Vegas. On May 8, 2024, Russell Weiner, Domino’s CEO, spoke to an audience of nearly 9,000 about Domino’s commitment to St. Jude, and the impact St. Jude makes around the world. In the spirit of doing more across the business, Russell issued a new challenge to the franchise owners – to raise a total of $300 million by 2034, which will mark 30 years of fundraising for St. Jude.

“Our new Hungry for More growth strategy means more stores and more sales, providing even more opportunities for customers to donate to St. Jude,” Russell said. “Since 2004 we’ve made it possible for millions of customers to simply donate a dollar or two, or round up their change, to help the children of St. Jude and their families, for which I am so grateful. Over the past 20 years those dollars and pennies have totaled over $126 million. Thanks to the generosity of our customers, we believe we can reach $300 million raised by 2034 – when we will celebrate 30 years of partnership.”

The announcement follows the 2023 opening of The Domino’s Village, a six-story, 140-unit housing facility for patient families. Thanks to donors like Domino’s customers, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – so they can focus on helping their children live.
