Serving Hope: How Domino’s Team Members Provided Support to Southern California Communities

At Domino’s, franchisees and team members uphold a set of values that influence not only how we operate in the workplace, but how we serve our communities. Earlier this year, when tragedy struck in southern California, Domino’s local franchisees and their team members did not hesitate to take action to support their neighbors and first responders.
“Supporting our communities is something that we don’t think twice about doing,” said Matt Lessa, vice president of a Domino’s franchise in southern California. “Our brand has a culture of giving back and operates with the simple core value: ‘Do the right thing.’ One of the most comforting things you can provide to someone in a tough time is a hot meal, and we have the ability to do that in a moment’s notice.”
Domino’s corporate team members and franchisees joined forces to donate 400 pizzas across Pasadena and its surrounding areas. Relief efforts included feeding first responders at command centers, providing food to volunteers at local nonprofits stationed in the area and catering a large community event to feed families in need.
“It’s been a privilege to be a part of the relief efforts, and we are lucky to be in a position to help,” said Matt. “I know it’s going to be a long road to recovery for so many people, but we are committed to helping wherever we can.”
Domino’s is so proud of the corporate and franchise team members who were able to roll up their sleeves and give back to the community in dire times of need.
“Although this has been a trying time, the abundance of community support and generosity has been amazing,” said Matt. “We are glad to be part of a brand that gives us the platform to give back.”
