Domino’s Celebrates FFA Alumni

Domino’s Vice President of Corporate Operations Rob Brooke is an FFA alumnus who attributes much of his success to skills he learned while in FFA.

At Domino’s, we’re on a mission to feed the power of possible – for our customers, our team members and our local communities as well. The Future Farmers of America holds a similar value, through their work in preparing students for their careers and building confidence. Domino’s has not only been proud to support National FFA since 2017, but has been a witness of the incredible success of FFA’s alumni base.

There are more than 700,000 FFA alumni across the United States. These individuals have made achievements in a multitude of career fields, ranging from business to health care – they even hold leadership positions at Domino’s. Rob Brooke, Domino’s vice president of corporate operations and FFA alumnus, believes his experience in the organization prepared him for his career today.

“FFA uses agriculture to develop leadership skills and build character in young students,” said Rob. “I cannot think of a business class I ever took where the very same lesson wasn't first taught to me during my time in FFA.”

A common misconception about FFA is that the organization only prepares students for farming careers, when in reality, it builds skills that are applicable to an abundance of careers fields. In fact, a portion of Domino’s support of FFA goes toward their food processing and products career pathway – a sector that educates students on research, development, safety and packaging within the food science industry – an area that correlates with many careers offered at Domino’s.

“When most people think of FFA, I think they envision students who come from a farming background or those who wish to be farmers in the future. In truth, FFA brings together students who share an interest in agriculture with the purpose of developing their potential for leadership and personal growth,” Rob said.

In addition to the contests, conventions and projects FFA students partake in, FFA encourages its members and alumni to give back to the community. Rob cites the service projects he participated in through FFA as some of his favorite memories, and believes that he learned the importance of being a servant leader from his time in the organization.

“FFA provided me with an opportunity to be part of an organization that not only cared about my personal growth, but gave me opportunities to serve my community,” said Rob. “The activities that we took part in pushed me out of my comfort zone and gave me a confidence that I could not have gotten through other extracurriculars.”

FFA truly fosters the next generation of well-rounded, confident, selfless leaders. The alumni who graduated from the organization continue to make strides across many industries and positively impact businesses like Domino’s.
