Championing a Cause: Domino’s Franchisee Bill Dunn is Committed to Supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Domino’s has been a proud supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital since 2004. On Oct. 13, 2025, Domino’s franchise and corporate-owned stores across the U.S. are kicking off their annual participation in St. Jude’s Thanks and Giving campaign. In honor of the campaign, we’re highlighting one of Domino’s top fundraising franchisees.
In a remarkable display of community spirit and dedication, Domino’s franchisee Bill Dunn and his team made a significant impact on St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in 2024. Through an unwavering commitment to raising money to help children battling cancer, Dunn’s stores are consistently setting the standard for what it means to give back. In 2024, Dunn was named the top franchisee for the average dollars raised per store throughout the St. Jude Thanks and Giving® campaign.
Since 2004, Domino's stores nationwide have proudly participated in the annual St. Jude Thanks and Giving campaign, raising vital funds for St. Jude. This year’s campaign marks the 22nd year customers will have contributed while ordering their favorite pizza, whether in-store, online, by phone or through the Domino's app. Donations are collected by simply adding a contribution or rounding up the total on their order, with every dollar making a difference in the fight against childhood cancer.
In 2024, Domino’s raised more than $18 million throughout the St. Jude Thanks and Giving campaign. Between his five stores, Dunn and his franchise raised more than $60K towards that amount. One of his stores in Paterson, New Jersey, raised over $25.5K and was recognized as the top store for percentage of orders with donations – 32.6% of orders included a donation to St. Jude throughout the campaign.
Dunn’s personal connection to cancer played a pivotal role in inspiring the franchise’s relentless pursuit of donations for St. Jude.
“I was especially drawn to the need for supporting St. Jude when my father was diagnosed with prostate cancer,” Dunn said. “Several other team members in our franchise have also been touched by the disease and we realized we needed to make an impact.”
Dunn’s stores consistently rank among the top contributors in the country for donations throughout the St. Jude Thanks and Giving campaign. How do they do it? Their achievements are marked by the franchise’s devotion to generating awareness among team members and customers about St. Jude and their lifesaving mission.
“We aim to do all that we can to make it fun for the store employees and affirm that they feel special about contributing to the cause,” he said. “We talk about St. Jude year-round and have meetings prior to the start of the campaign to get excited, set our goals and go over ideas.”
Dunn and his business partner empower their team members by frequently engaging them in conversations and activities in support of St. Jude. Throughout the campaign, their stores host fun challenges among staff, with prizes for the top performers in donation collections. Weekly leaderboards keep employees motivated and connected to the bigger mission. Year-round, donation boxes are displayed in store lobbies decorated with St. Jude imagery to bring routine attention to the cause. Additionally, stores organize an array of creative fundraising activities for their team members, including raffles, casino nights and holiday events.
Dunn has been working for Domino’s since 1986, beginning his journey as a store manager. Over the years, his dedication and drive led him to become a franchise partner in 2015, and ultimately, the owner of his own franchise business in 2021. Looking to the future, he and his team hope to surpass their previous fundraising achievements. Their dedication to supporting St. Jude's lifesaving mission continues to inspire Domino's team members across the nation and beyond.
