A Love Story Delivered in 30 Minutes or Less

Published: July 23, 2025
Faith and Edward Forbes have been together for nearly 38 years – all thanks to a Domino’s pizza order.

Some love stories begin with fireworks, others with fate. For one couple, it started with a phone call and a promise: hot, fresh pizza delivered in 30 minutes or less.

In the mid-1980s, Domino’s was redefining the pizza game with its bold delivery guarantee – and in Hollywood, Florida, one delivery driver was living that promise every day. To Edward Forbes, it wasn’t just a job; it was about pride, precision and being part of a movement that brought people together, one pizza at a time.

Forbes was a young man originally from Bambarra, Middle Caicos, raised in Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos Islands—a son of the islands who had journeyed far but carried the warmth of home with him. One night, he picked up what he thought was a routine call. On the other end of the line was the woman who would change his life. Faith Conrad was placing an order, but the conversation quickly drifted from toppings to talk, from small chat to something deeper.

For the next two weeks, he called her every day – not as a Domino’s driver, but as a man following his heart. And when they finally met in person, the spark was undeniable. That one delivery became the start of a love story that would last nearly 38 years and counting.

Together, they built a life grounded in the same values Domino’s embodies: consistency, connection and community. But their journey didn’t end in Florida. Years later, they returned to Grand Turk, the island that shaped them, bringing with them not just memories but a mission.

They founded Exclusive Escapes Grand Turk, a business focused on delivering unforgettable experiences – sun-drenched tours, ocean breezes and the kind of genuine hospitality that leaves a mark. Just like that first pizza delivery, their goal was to bring joy to people’s doorsteps, to connect hearts through service.

Now, nearly four decades later, Edward and Faith’s daughter reflects on the legacy that started with a simple call and a red, white and blue uniform. A photo from the 80s leaves her frozen in time.

“It’s been a reminder of how, sometimes, the simplest deliveries can have the greatest impact,” said Tiffany Forbes. “Domino’s has always delivered more than just pizza. For my parents, it delivered a moment that changed everything.”
