What Pride Month Means to Domino’s Team Members
In celebration of Pride Month, Domino’s employee resource group, True Colors, asked team members to share a little bit about themselves and what the month means to them.
“Pride Month is about celebrating our diverse LGBTQIA+ community while also recognizing that we still have a lot of work to do in order to break down the forces behind systematic oppression and inequities. Pride celebrates the intersectionality of our diverse identities while reminding us that we all play a part in creating a safe space for our most marginalized voices.” – Iris Hinderliter, Domino’s IT product owner IV/ learning management systems analyst
“I started my professional career off in the military serving under ‘don't ask, don't tell.’ Fast forward 16 years – I no longer have to hide who I am at work or in my personal life. Pride is about being unapologetically proud of who I am, and of my community. It's about standing together, with our allies, to celebrate how far we've come while recognizing how much further we have to go.” – David Poe, Domino’s director of supply chain center operations
“It's a celebration dedicated to those in the LGBTQIA+ community and an opportunity to continue to learn more about how I can be a better ally that resonates throughout the entire year. Being a part of my local Pride festival is a magical experience that brings me loads of joy. Love is love.” – Julie Shope, Domino’s global mobility manager
“My proudest moment at Domino's is being part of True Colors. I have seen so much engagement from leadership and support from all team members in our ERG. I am grateful to finally be in an organization that embraces diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, especially for our LGBTQIA community.” – Jonathon Parker, Domino’s procurement specialist
