National Supply Chain Day: Recognizing the People and Power of Domino’s Supply Chain
Behind every Domino’s pizza is a robust supply chain designed to deliver the highest quality products to stores across the country. Built on a team first mindset, Domino’s supply chain operates with a simple philosophy: within supply chain, every department is the next one’s customer.
That shared accountability is essential to efficiency, effective customer service, and the safety and quality standards our stores rely on every day. At the center of it all are the dedicated team members who make, move and manage the ingredients behind Domino’s most popular menu items.
“With Domino’s supply chain, we are built to deliver,” said Ron Erving, manager of talent development for Domino’s supply chain. “Our network is designed to serve regional customers while remaining flexible when unexpected events occur. Supporting a company of this size is complex, but our talented team members handle it with the power of possible.”
What Makes Domino’s Supply Chain Unique
Domino’s supply chain is designed so stores can focus on what they do best: making and delivering great pizzas. That’s why Domino’s utilizes a central commissary system—facilities where ingredients are made, stored and distributed to stores across North America.
Through a network of 30 dough manufacturing and food distribution centers in North America, Domino’s supply chain provides more than 200 products to over 7,200 stores in the United States, made possible by the people behind the scenes.
Dough Production: Where Quality Begins
Dough production is a core function of supply chain operations, ensuring the freshness and performance of Domino’s most essential product. Food production team members are specially trained to make and move fresh pizza dough, while also maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of critical production equipment.
“I never realized how much logistics went into ordering a pizza until I came here,” said a Domino’s production associate. “What started as a job turned into a career. We work hard, we have fun, and we really feel like a family.”
Keeping Stores Moving
Warehouse teams play a critical role in managing inventory and ensuring accurate, on time deliveries. From loading and unloading products to completing load verifications, their work keeps supply centers and stores in sync.
From there, Domino’s commercially trained safe, professional drivers take over, many of whom earned their Class A CDL through Domino’s Driver Development Program, which removes barriers to entry and invests directly in team member growth by fully covering CDL schooling and paying them while they attend school.
"Joining the Driver Development Program was one of the best decisions I’ve made for my career and my future,” said Terry Foston, a 2026 driver development program graduate. “When I first started, I knew I wanted to earn my Class A license, but I didn’t fully understand how much discipline the process would require. The program gave me not only the technical skills to succeed, but also the confidence to grow into a completely new level of responsibility.”
The Domino’s Driver Development Program prepares graduates to become certified professional drivers in as little as eight to 12 weeks without the burden of out of pocket costs.
“Before joining Domino’s, earning a Class A license was a personal goal,” said Kyle Glasgow, 2025 Driver Development Program graduate. “My leaders supported me every step of the way. Their investment in my growth showed me that when I get better, the company gets better.”
Innovation in Motion: Stop Loading
Domino’s supply chain continues to evolve through innovations like stop loading, a delivery system that significantly reduces driver idle time during store deliveries. Products arrive in carts built specifically for each store’s inventory needs, allowing for more efficient, safer deliveries and less heavy lifting. The result: increased efficiency, improved safety and expanded opportunities for more team members to step into these roles.
A Culture Built on Growth
Beyond keeping stores stocked and operating, Domino’s supply chain leadership is deeply invested in team member development and career growth.
“From the second I joined the Indiana supply chain, I was encouraged to seek growth opportunities,” said Joe Pivoriunas, inventory control lead at Domino’s. “Whether it was through the DDP program, the internal job board or from talks with the director, I always felt that this was more of a career than a job. I am proud of the work that I've done, to allow me to achieve my goals and grow within the company as well as personally. I've embarked on a new path in my career that has already paid dividends and for that I'm forever grateful to Domino's.”
At its core, while Domino’s supply chain moves products, it also powers growth, creates opportunity and ensures every order delivers on the quality customers crave.
“Our village thrives by being strong together and focused on continuous improvement,” said Erving. “I’m honored to play a small part in creating opportunities for our team members to grow their careers and build their personal brands along the way.”
