Domino’s Team Members Show Their Pride in Motor City

At Domino's, we actively champion our core value to “Put People First,” helping us to foster an inclusive culture that empowers our team members to bring their whole, authentic selves to work. On June 8 and 9, Domino's team members demonstrated this value at Motor City Pride in Detroit, where they celebrated love, advocated for equality, and stood in solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community.

The Motor City Pride initiatives were led by True Colors, the Domino's Business Resource Group dedicated to creating an inclusive work environment for LGBTQIA+ team members. This year, True Colors, along with Domino's corporate volunteers, raised awareness around Domino's commitment to creating an inclusive culture among festival goers, promoted hiring opportunities and gave away free pizza! Domino’s team members also raised money for the local nonprofit Stand with Trans – an organization that advocates for and supports trans youth and their loved ones.

“I feel lucky to have walked in my first Pride parade with Domino’s,” said Rachel Lieberman, technical business analyst at Domino’s. “Our team brought the energy, and we had a ton of fun engaging the crowd. A few attendees were pleasantly surprised to see Domino’s representation at Pride this year, which was a powerful testament to our growth and progress as a company. It was especially invigorating celebrating with our group and honoring the sacrifices LGBTQIA+ trailblazers made throughout history to create a safe space for queer individuals to show up as their authentic selves. I’m already counting the days until next year!”

Domino’s is committed to creating a welcoming and supportive space for all team members. We are proud of the Dominoids who celebrated and advocated for the LGBTQIA+ community at Motor City Pride this year and look forward to continuing our journey to create an increasingly inclusive workplace culture at Domino’s.

"Celebrating Pride at Domino's means acceptance of who you are," said Aseem Bhartiya, senior manager of analytics and insights at Domino’s. "Everyone welcomes you with open arms irrespective of your sexual orientation, ethnicity or nationality. Showing a sense of community and support to my colleagues who identify themselves as part of the LGBTQIA+ community is important to me."
