Domino’s Teams Across the Nation Walk for the Kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, a time when Domino’s teams across the nation walk in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and its mission – finding cures and saving children. St. Jude ensures no family ever receives a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food.
“My favorite thing about participating in the St. Jude Walk to cure childhood cancer is connecting with St. Jude and the cause right in our back yard,” shared Jeannette Sharp, Domino’s manager of internal communications, who participated at the St. Jude Walk in Troy, Michigan, on Sept. 27. “It’s amazing to see the power of what happens when people come together to help St. Jude in their mission to find cures for childhood cancer.”
All the money raised from the St. Jude Walk events goes directly to St. Jude and is credited toward Domino’s $300 million commitment that was made to St. Jude in 2024.
This year, 47 teams of more than 900 Dominoids – franchisees and their teams, as well as corporate team members from the field, supply chain centers and Domino’s World Resource Center – walked at local events across the country. Domino’s teams raised more than $498,000 for St. Jude, raising over $165,000, more compared to 2024.
The St. Jude Walk leads up to the annual St. Jude Thanks and Giving® campaign, where franchise and corporate-owned Domino’s stores across the U.S. raise “dough” for the kids at St. Jude.
Customers can help St. Jude in its lifesaving mission, simply by:
- Purchasing the St. Jude Giving Combo for $26.99, which includes:
- Two large two-topping pizzas, an eight-piece order of Stuffed Cheesy Bread, a two-liter, and a $1 donation to St. Jude
- Adding a donation to St. Jude while placing an order over the phone, in stores or online
- Rounding up their order total online
Helping the kids of St. Jude has become a part of Domino’s culture since the partnership began in 2004.
“I have been with Domino’s for almost 17 years pushing sales and trying to raise St. Jude promotions throughout October to December, and year-round. This is a great cause and anything we can do to raise money to help these kids is a great idea,” commented Wade Ross, director of operations for Jason Dally, a Domino’s franchisee in Michigan.
Domino’s is grateful to St. Jude for the opportunity to participate in this amazing event, and proud of how Dominoids came together to champion the children of St. Jude! Together, we are taking steps to provide cures for childhood cancer.
