Domino’s Receives Validation on Science-Based Targets from the Science Based Targets Initiative

As we look for ways to minimize our environmental footprint, we have set near-term and net-zero emissions reduction goals aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). We are pleased to share that in October, our targets that we submitted in 2023 have been validated by the SBTi.

The SBTi is a corporate climate action organization that enables companies and financial institutions worldwide to play their part in combating the climate crisis.

The forest, land and agriculture (FLAG) sector is one of the most affected by the impacts of climate change and a significant source of emissions. Domino’s is the first pizza company in the U.S., and the second U.S. restaurant brand, to set, submit and receive validation for FLAG targets.

The update from SBTi followed closely after the September publication of Domino’s 2024 stewardship report, which summarizes the brand’s work across its four stewardship pillars, including supplier spotlights, updates on our partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and other philanthropic efforts, summaries of initiatives designed to empower people – including advertising’s innovative Opening Shot program – and Domino’s estimated emissions for 2023 compared to a 2021 baseline.

Domino’s pursuit of science-based targets will be balanced with our Hungry for MORE strategy and our overall company growth blueprint, as we navigate our path forward towards ultimately achieving our environmental goals.
